Turnkey Fire Training Tower Solution
WHP has been building fire training towers for over 40 years and were recently contracted with Louisville Fire Department, KY to be our 1,000th project. Because we handle every aspect of the towers (sales, design, bidding, manufacturing, and construction), we know what our customers need. “We have in-depth knowledge and experience that has helped us streamline the process for our customers. Our turnkey solution makes the entire experience smoother, easier, and more affordable,” said Jahnke. When retired fire chief William Jahnke purchased the company in 1980, he combined his two areas of expertise – firefighting and construction management – and made many improvements to the fire training towers over the years. This set of skills made him uniquely qualified to not just build fire training towers but to build fire training towers that met the specific needs and applications of the fire service industry. Our MODx™ training towers are the result of years of modification and innovation. “Because we are so close to the industry, I think that gives us an advantage,” said (Amanda) Jahnke. “We know our customers’ challenges which helps us solve their problems with our products.”

We are very proud of these awards and honored that they chose us. The combination of our strong background in firefighting, and experience in construction, has helped us create a versatile group of products designed to deliver safety, durability, and affordability. While it’s not an easy task, Jahnke said she can’t imagine doing it any other way. “We are trying to check a lot of boxes, that’s true, but focusing on quality and innovation will keep us successful today and ready for what tomorrow brings. It’s a great model that has served us well for over 40 years.”
