Meet Jon Moss, Virtual Design Specialist:
How long have you worked at WHP?
I have worked at WHP for eight years.
What are you responsible for?
I am responsible for creating the 2D conceptual drawings and 3D visualizations of our fire training towers.
What do you do on a daily basis?
On a daily basis, I create conceptual 2D drawings from either lists of options that clients want, or marked up drawings from templates that our sales team provides to fire departments. Then I model those 2D concepts in 3D visualizations so everyone assigned to the project understands the overall scope of the project.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy the process of starting with a rough idea on paper and creating 3D visual representations of what a fire department has been working so hard for to help the communities around them. The feedback when a fire department comes back knowing that we can accomplish everything they dreamed of feels amazing.
What makes WHP a great place to work?
What I enjoy most about the community we have at WHP is the tight knit group of people that we have. We’ve been working together for years to accomplish everything we have dreamed of. The amount of growth that WHP has experienced over the last eight years has been amazing to be a part of and watch.
How do you help clients?
I help clients by creating 2D and 3D visual representations of specific fire training towers. I show them exactly what they’ve been dreaming of since they started looking for a fire training tower solution.
What makes you proud about WHP Trainingtowers?
I am proud to be a part of a company that has been designing and building the best training tower solutions for the last 45+ years. To see the growth that our team has accomplished over the short eight years that I have been here has been astonishing to watch and be a part of.
Tell us a little bit about your life outside of work.
I currently live in Mission, Kansas with my fiancée and my two cats. I love design, gaming, and skateboarding. So when I am not creating visualizations of other people’s dreams, I create art and designs of my visions. Then, when I need a break from that, I enjoy playing video games or going outside and skating the local skateparks around the Kansas City Metro area.
