Here We Grow Again! Welcome Antonio Aguilar

Antonio Aguilar WHP Training Towers

WHP Trainingtowers™ is growing! After 40 years and over 1,000 projects, WHP Trainingtowers™ is still going strong. We continue to create the strongest, safest, lowest-maintenance fire training towers available. Part of the reason we are so successful is the people we choose to be a part of our training tower family. We are proud to announce our latest team member, Antonio Aguilar – Manufacturing Project Manager.

Antonio Aguilar – Manufacturing Project Manager

As the Manufacturing Project Manager Antonio will work closely with both internal and external team members as part of a cross-functional project team. His responsibilities include planning, preparing, organizing, and maintaining material, equipment, and staffing requirements. He will coordinate required materials, inventory, and fabrications on jobs per the construction contracts including drawings, specifications, schedules and costs.

He will also be responsible for the reviewing of drawings, shop drawings, and purchase orders while generating work orders and packing lists to meet the needs of each specific project. In short, Antonio will work closely with the production manager and the project management team to maintain our product timelines to keep everything moving forward so our training tower builds continue to be smooth and hassle-free for our customers.

Antonio’s Professional Background

In 2012, Antonio began working with the Iron-Workers Union Local 10 where he worked as a steel fabricator and welder. There, he climbed the professional ladder learning more about steel erection, civil construction, and commercial contracting. He used this knowledge, along with seniority in the union, to graduate into project management.

Antonio’s Thoughts on his Project Manager Role

“My job starts after a project is sold,” Antonio said. “Once the design phase is complete, I am handed the project. My day starts with customer service communication between our amazing team. I then jump into each individual project and break them down to the nuts and bolts. I look over the intended design and make sure it’s brought to life in as few steps as possible by examining blueprints, purchasing, logistics, and manufacturing. As a new team member coming in, my main focus is establishing schedules and timelines. With a rapidly growing company like WHP, and with our effective sales force, timelines can shift and goals can be moved. It is my job to maintain order in the chaos.”

A Little Bit about Antonio

Antonio is a husband and father of three children. He is passionate about writing & recording music and electromagnetics. He is currently conducting research on ferro-fluid electromagnetic vortex engines and reading Russian scientist, Viktor Grebbenikov.

“I am excited to work with a company like WHP. Our Executive VP, Joe Kirchner, is a knowledgeable leader and role model, keen to the intricate problems that arise in steel work,” Antonio said. “I appreciate being able to work under him and work alongside some of the brightest administrative personnel, designers, and mechanically savvy men and women in the Midwest.”
