Meet Alexis Harris, Accounting Assistant:
How long have you worked at WHP?
I have worked at WHP for two years.
What are you responsible for?
I am responsible for many general accounting duties such as: accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing and filing, account reconciliations, processing transactions, vendor accounts, and more. I am also responsible for making sure we are licensed to work wherever our next project may be located.
What do you do on a daily basis?
On a daily basis, I assist with various accounting and administrative tasks.
What do you like most about your job?
I like that I’m usually working on something different every day.
What makes WHP a great place to work?
WHP is a great place to work because of the family atmosphere. Even if you are not technically part of the Jahnke family, you will be treated as such. It makes me happy to have such a great team of support.
How do you help clients?
I help clients by making sure we are licensed to perform construction work wherever they may want their new training structure built. I also help clients by ensuring all their billing questions are answered.
What makes you proud about WHP Trainingtowers?
It makes me proud to work for a company that supports communities by giving fire departments and other training facilities the opportunity to train and stay diligent.
Tell us a little bit about yourself outside of work.
I am from the Lake of the Ozarks area and moved to the Kansas City metro area six years ago to attend UMKC. During the summer I enjoy spending time on the lake with family, friends, and my dog Kato.
