First Responders are being asked to manage a wider variety of emergencies and thus demand more comprehensive training tools to better prepare. This series of props utilizes readily available air compressors to deliver hazmat training scenarios at a reasonable cost. The GRANT ELIGIBLE package includes five (5) portable hazmat training props and a hand-held control pad. Additional training props available as well as a trailer for easy transportation.
HAZMAT INSTRUCTOR SERIES™
Chlorine Cylinder: Full size chlorine cylinder gives the trainee the challenge of controlling leaking valves, pipes, and/or manifolds.
Leaking Drum: Leaking drums are standard UN 1A1 and UN 1A2 drums which leak from a simulated fork lift puncture, bung, or seam leak in lid.
Leaking Bulk Storage: Contain and control flammable liquid leaks from storage container. Leaks from valves, manifold, and tank rupture.
Reacting Drum: Chemical reactions inside a storage drum include bubbling and gurgling sounds and drum vibrations. The bulging head indicates pressure build-up.
Falling Cylinder: Rack failure resulting in an uncontrolled release of product from failed cylinder and manifold. Failure presents responders with “real-life” maneuvering of the situation.
Control Panel: The hand held tablet allows the instructor to manage all operations of the props while overseeing the trainees in action. For personnel safety and training control, the console has emergency stops, pauses, and re-dos.
HAZMAT INSTRUCTOR SERIES™ TRAILER
WHP Trainingtowers is excited to introduce the NEW Hazmat Instructor Series™ Trailer. The Hazmat Instructor Series™ Trailer system is designed around a custom enclosed 8.5′ X 36′ fooseneck trailer with 8′ interior height. The trailer has a built-in equipment area to operate the Hazmat Props in the front of the trailer as well as access to the electrical panel. The trailer has a 15,000 BTU A/C heat unit, Aluminum Tread Plate Floor with 2 Floor Drains, 3 Flip-up Access Side Doors, a Rear Drop Down Ramp Door, Electric Leveling Jacks for all 4 corners, and LED Lighting throughout the trailer. Graphics package and special colors quoted on request.
The Hazmat Instructor Series™ Trailer is plumbed and wired for the included props (1-ton Chlorine Cylinder, Leaking Drum, Reacting Drum, Leaking Tank, Falling Cylinders with Rack, Sprinkler System, Leaking Training Tree, and Smoke Machine) and comes with our Wireless Portable Control System that controls all of the props in the trailer.
