Hazmat Prop Options Offered:
Every prop and simulation is designed to replicate hazards you may have to deal with in your community. From single props to a complete “Hazmat City,” we can design props to train for your worst nightmare.
Bulk Drum Storage: Static props to provide realism in the working environment. Drums can be labeled to represent the full range of hazardous substances.
Bulk Processing Tank: Industrial processing tank for caustic or acid materials simulates an uncontrolled reaction from a process causing fume clouds, spillage and violent boil-over. At the same time, the instructor may initiate single or multiple leaks in the tank.
Bulk Storage Tank: Simulates control system failure resulting in tank overfill and leak situation mitigated by valving, leak containment and/or control system operation.
Chlorine Cylinder: Full size chlorine cylinder gives the trainee the challenge of dealing with a “real” cylinder, valving, piping and manifolds, which are all capable of leaking.
Compressed Gas Cylinder Explosion: Exposure to fire and over pressurization presents challenges to first responders and technicians.
Compressed Gas Manifold: Six bottle manifold which has leaking bottle connection, manifold valve or regulator simulated in vapor cloud or colorless gas selected by instructor.
Control Room: Central control room with two 42” touch screen control panels, remote camera monitors to observe exercise and full sound system specific to props.
Drum and Bottle Storage: Combination of compressed gas cylinders and chemical drum storage area presents various scenarios for responders to mitigate.
Exploding Drum: Reaction within a drum causes vibration, leaking and a rupture which causes the drum to fail and explode.
Falling Cylinder: Rack failure resulting in an uncontrolled release of product from failed cylinder and manifold. Failure presents responders with “real-life” maneuvering of the situation. The system allows instructor to change the scenario at any time during the course of the exercise.
Flammable Spill Fire: Simulates a liquid spill from drums which find an ignition source and result in a running spill fire.
Leaking Pipes: Pipe leaks from flanges, valves, seam failures. Damaged pipes are in actual pipe racks for realistic exercises.
Mechanical Control Area: Control system operates the computerized simulator. Integrated with sound, smell, visual and tactile effects. The student experiences a full immersion in the hazardous environment.
